Electronic injection system
In its simplest form, electronic fuel injection (EFI) is a computer-controlled fuel delivery system. This electronic control unit (ECU) reads various sensors located on the vehicle and determines the amount of fuel needed for the engine to function properly. The computer will open and close the injectors allowing gasoline to pass into the engine, based on sensor information and the mapping programmed into the computer.
The various sensors (rpm, engine temperature, air temperature, position, pressure, crankshaft position) provide information on engine operating and load conditions.
An injection system soiled can cause consequences such as: Poor Acceleration, repeated stalling, poor fuel consumption, a hesitant engine.
